Requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science Engineering degree or related Science degree from a college or university with an accredited engineering program
  • 10-15 years of experience.
  • Technical understanding of nuclear plant processes/programs not well understood by others.
  • Experience with upgrading control systems from analog to digital.
  • Must have extensive knowledge in Digital I&C area of expertise.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain plant configuration control by advocating for the site's Design Bases.
  • Prepare modifications, calculations, specifications, and technical reports to support the power uprate project.
  • Coordinate owner’s acceptance reviews of products developed by external consulting service companies contracted by Vistra for the power uprate project.
  • Requires performing field walk-downs and interfacing with other groups to resolve emergent issues and support appropriate constructability of modifications.
  • Providing support for interface with regulatory and oversight agencies including Nuclear Regulatory Commission Inspections.
  • Demonstrating a solid commitment to all aspects of safety e.g. nuclear, industrial, personal, radiological, etc.
  • Provide innovative engineering solutions for difficult problems.
Desired Qualifications
  • Registered Professional Engineer, desired.
  • Ohio preferred or able to secure through reciprocity (strong preferred).
  • Experience with GE Mark VIe and Westinghouse Ovation Digital Control System platforms (preferred).

Or follow us on Google NewsFord and TXU Energy announced this week they have teamed up to create a first-of-its-kind retail energy offering for Ford electric SUV and truck customers in Texas. The TXU Free EV Miles program offers Ford EV drivers the opportunity to charge their vehicle at home entirely for free, since more than 80 percent of charging takes place at home. Ford EV customers will get a credit on their TXU Energy bill for all home energy used for vehicle charging during the free charging hours — 7:00 pm to 1:00 pm the following day — all year long.Ford says it is using this opportunity to educate Texans about the benefits of driving electric while incentivizing consumers to charge when demand on the grid is at its lowest. The program is designed for flexibility, giving customers 18 hours a day to charge for free. With easy charging scheduling through the Preferred Charge Times feature in the FordPass app or by using their in-vehicle touchscreen, Ford electric SUV and truck drivers can ensure charging only occurs within TXU Energy’s free hours
