Requirements
- An interim Secret clearance is required to begin, and the employee must be able to maintain at least a Secret clearance.
- A bachelor's degree is required; an IT-related degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant technical cybersecurity experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience delivering training through podium instruction or facilitation is required.
- Demonstrated ability to apply adult learning principles to improve student engagement and outcomes is required.
- Strong written communication skills are required to maintain clear, logical curriculum documentation and instructional artifacts.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Cyber Training Academy courses in accordance with the Government-approved Course Design Plan or Document, established pacing, learning objectives, and assessment approach.
- Provide instruction through in-residence, Instructor-Led Virtual, and Mobile Training Team delivery methods as assigned.
- Deliver immersive, practitioner-based learning with hands-on exercises and performance-based assessments where applicable.
- Complete assigned courses before teaching and meet program standards for instructional readiness.
- Update and improve course materials using instructional design principles and the Cyber Training Academy development approach, including ISD, ADDIE, Bloom's taxonomy, and/or SAMR as directed.
- Produce and maintain lesson plans, instructional materials, lab guides, Student Guides, and Instructor Guides or approved commercial equivalents.
- Participate in course reviews and audits, recommending updates based on student surveys, subject-matter-expert feedback, tool and technology evolution, and emerging threats.
- Ensure training materials are professional, consistent, clear, and accurate, and contribute to quality assurance of training products.
- Coordinate with platform engineering and integration staff to ensure course content, labs, and assessments function as intended in the learning management system and cyber training environment.
- Validate readiness of virtual machines, exercises, accounts, and access for assigned deliveries; report defects and recommend corrective actions through appropriate program channels.
- Support collection of training effectiveness data, including participant performance, feedback, and survey completion, and provide actionable improvement recommendations.
- Reinforce program requirements for students to complete required surveys before course completion where applicable.
- Support Mobile Training Team delivery requirements and ensure that Mobile Training Team instruction mirrors resident delivery in quality, content, and tools unless otherwise directed.
- Participate in advance planning, including site surveys and coordination, as required by the Government.
