Requirements
  • Five to ten years of experience in telecommunications, systems engineering, network integration, or a related field.
  • Experience working with 4G LTE and 5G Radio Access Network and Core technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Private LTE and/or Private 5G networks.
  • Experience with Evolved Packet Core and/or 5G Core deployment, integration, and support.
  • Knowledge of RF systems, fiber optics, networking, DC power systems, grounding, and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Experience with enterprise server platforms, including Dell and HPE systems.
  • Basic knowledge of virtualization and container technologies such as VMware, OpenStack, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting and analysis tools such as Wireshark, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and RF test equipment.
  • Strong understanding of IP networking concepts and network integration practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, prioritize assignments, and complete them accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Strong understanding of wireless network architectures, Private LTE/5G technologies, and laboratory-based test environments.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers, management, engineering teams, and external partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Experience working with Linux and Windows operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
  • Support the establishment, operation, and execution of in-house laboratory experiments related to Private LTE, 5G, and broadband use-case testing.
  • Maintain and optimize laboratory test environments for experimentation and validation activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and testing teams to develop repeatable testing methodologies and validation procedures.
  • Monitor laboratory infrastructure and systems to ensure continuous operational readiness.
  • Implement and support customer-facing Private LTE and 5G use-case testbeds, ensuring feasibility, scalability, and repeatability.
  • Conduct baseline testing, performance validation, and benchmarking of network and application performance.
  • Configure and maintain servers, networking equipment, switches, storage systems, and management interfaces required for testing.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for laboratory environments to maintain uptime and operational continuity.
  • Perform Radio Access Network plumbing activities, including over-the-air and conducted testing configurations.
  • Install, integrate, configure, and commission LTE and 5G Radio Access Network components.
  • Support RF troubleshooting, optimization, and performance validation activities.
  • Use spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, and network diagnostic tools to identify and resolve network issues.
  • Perform Evolved Packet Core and 5G Core installation, integration, and commissioning activities.
  • Configure interfaces with test networks and validate end-to-end connectivity across LTE and 5G environments.
  • Support core network troubleshooting and service validation activities.
  • Maintain Evolved Packet Core, 5G Core, and dual-core environments for customer and internal testing requirements.
  • Integrate and commission private wireless network environments supporting multiple customer use cases.
  • Conduct device-level testing, including connectivity, interoperability, mobility, throughput, and application-layer validation.
  • Execute end-to-end application testing for targeted Private LTE and 5G use cases.
  • Analyze test results and provide recommendations for performance improvements and issue resolution.
  • Manage laboratory requirements, materials, setup requests, testbed modifications, and new system builds.
  • Support laboratory mirror systems and pre-staging environments before customer deployment.
  • Rack and stack servers, storage systems, switches, Radio Access Network equipment, and core network infrastructure.
  • Perform BIOS upgrades, firmware updates, operating system installations, and remote system configuration.
  • Maintain current systems for maximum uptime and rapidly resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Maintain inventory and support contracts, and procure components and materials as required.
  • Create and maintain network diagrams, IP plans, system documentation, and change records.
  • Travel to customer sites for field installations, testing, and support activities as required.
