Requirements
  • Ability to safely use and operate hand tools, power tools, equipment, instruments, and materials associated with assigned duties.
  • Ability to move throughout active construction and project-site environments, including uneven terrain, mud, gravel, sand, and varying surface conditions.
  • Ability to access ground-level, overhead, and restricted-access work areas and to safely use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work surfaces.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, transport, and position materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance or available mechanical devices.
  • Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, humidity, wind, noise, dust, and other weather or site-related conditions.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, restricted-access areas, and elevated locations when required and in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Ability to perform work ranging from sedentary to heavy physical exertion depending on project assignment and operational needs.
  • Ability to read, interpret, apply, and communicate work instructions, plans, specifications, company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and apply measurement, estimation, and problem-solving skills necessary to complete assigned work.
  • Ability to maintain concentration, situational awareness, and attention to detail in environments with multiple activities, distractions, and changing priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general clean-up.
  • Dig footings with hand tools.
  • Backfill.
  • Load and unload materials.
  • Strip concrete forms.
  • Operate power tools such as vibrators, compactors, jackhammers, and chipping guns.
  • Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support excavation sides, and remove rubble and debris.
  • Perform physical tasks requiring minimal skill or experience.
  • Assist other craft workers as needed.
  • Provide feedback to ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information are available for the work.
  • Learn and understand safety hazards related to the work and use or operate work-related tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Work in a plant operations or construction jobsite setting.
