Job Summary

As a Purchasing Agent at L&S, you will be responsible for the ordering and tracking of materials.  Key relationships in this role, but not limited to, would be warehouse team members, vendors, service technicians and production supervisors.

General Responsibilities     

• Order plumbing, electrical and HVAC parts for service warranty calls, backed by a supportive, successful team.
• Maintain accurate purchase order data, verifying supplier acknowledgements for date and price discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (warehouse, service) to understand their needs.
• Ability to build/maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
• Ensure purchase orders are accurately created in company procurement system.
• Managing supplier relationships, including issue resolution.
• Collaborate with AP Department to resolve invoice discrepancies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in telephone customer service.
• Proficient in basic computer skills that include but are not limited to data entry,      MS Outlook, and Excel.
• Effective at building and maintaining positive relationships with the warehouses, service technicians, production managers, superintendents, and coworkers to ensure timely completion of job duties.
• Strong ability to organize, prioritize, communicate well, and be committed to providing quality work.
• Solid problem-solving skills and a willingness to take on new projects with a "can do" attitude.
• Perform the physical demands of the position - working indoors with long periods of time sitting; listening and speaking on the telephone; viewing monitor and workstation.
