Clio provides legal practice management software that helps law firms run more efficiently. It offers two main products: Clio Grow, which improves client intake and engagement, and Clio Manage, which organizes tasks, manages cases, handles documents, and processes payments in one integrated platform. The software is cloud-based and sold on a subscription, giving firms from solo practitioners to large firms a centralized system for intake, matter management, document handling, and billing. Clio differentiates itself by providing two interconnected products tailored to legal work, a broad feature set for the full lifecycle of a case, and a platform used across a range of firm sizes. Its goal is to reduce administrative burdens and support the growth of legal practices by streamlining operations.

CallRail has expanded its partnership with Clio, integrating its Voice Assist AI tool with Clio Grow and Clio Manage platforms. The integration enables law firms to handle inbound calls and texts 24/7 using AI that can recognise existing clients, qualify new leads, and book consultations automatically. Voice Assist pulls client information from Clio to personalise interactions, greeting returning callers by name and skipping previously answered intake questions. For new callers, it runs standard intake procedures and creates contacts in Clio with full marketing attribution. The system schedules consultations directly into Clio Manage without requiring human intervention, including after-hours calls. CallRail serves more than 225,000 businesses worldwide. The integration is now available to law firms.
Burnaby, BC-based Clio has acquired Toronto legaltech firm Jurisage to bolster its AI capabilities in Canada. The deal gives Clio access to one of Canada's most comprehensive AI-ready legal datasets, covering over 470,000 cases across more than 40 courts. Jurisage's 10-person team is joining Clio, which recently surpassed $500 million USD in annual recurring revenue and holds a $5-billion valuation. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition addresses gaps in Clio's Canadian legal database following its $1-billion USD purchase of vLex in 2025, which offered limited Canadian coverage. A recent Clio report found that 95 per cent of Canadian lawyers are using AI in their work. The move comes as foreign competitors like Harvey and Legora expand into the Canadian market.
Clio, the global leader in legal AI technology, today announced it has completed its US$1 billion acquisition of vLex, one of the most significant transactions in legal technology history. The completion of the deal coincides with the closing of Clio’s US$500 million Series G funding round, led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA), valuing the company at US$5 billion. The round also includes other current investors: TCV, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Sixth Street Growth, and JMI Equity.
Clio, a Canadian legaltech company, has reached $500 million in annual recurring revenue, fuelled by strong demand for its AI offerings. The milestone follows a $500 million Series G funding round in November 2025 that valued the firm at $5 billion. The company's growth reflects broader adoption of AI across various sectors, including healthcare and customer support. However, no single AI use case has yet matched the widespread popularity of code writing applications. Clio's performance demonstrates increasing enterprise appetite for AI-powered legal technology solutions as the sector continues to attract significant investor interest.
Clio, a Canadian law firm management software company, has reached $500 million in annual recurring revenue, driven by AI integration. The 18-year-old company surpassed $200 million ARR in mid-2024 and doubled that figure by late last year. CEO Jack Newton argues legal tech is poised to become a major AI winner, citing the wealth of contracts and agreements that provide training data for large language models. Clio isn't alone in this surge: Harvey reached $190 million ARR by end-2025, whilst Legora hit $100 million ARR just 18 months after launch. However, Anthropic's recent expansion of Claude for Legal creates an awkward dynamic, as the AI provider now competes with clients like Harvey and Legora. Clio was valued at $5 billion in its November Series G round.
