  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 36 months in the Job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Requires 36 months of experience involving the following:
  • 1. Monitoring and debugging test failures;
  • 2. Design and analysis;
  • 3. API design;
  • 4. Cloud services;
  • 5. Design optimization;
  • 6. SQL (Oracle, SSMS), Java, and Python; and
  • 7. Shell/ Bash/ PowerShell, Kafka/ Queues.
Responsibilities
  • Support, design, develop, or test mechanical/electrical/electronic engineering systems used for reporting manufacturing information.
  • Maintain and upgrade systems that interface data between other first party Samsung systems or report factory health information such as interlocks, equipment maintenance, and material quality.
  • Work closely with fab and quality engineering teams to investigate needs and implement solutions.
  • Participate in standardization deployments and existing application development with other sites in global manufacturing network.
  • Provide Quality Assurance testing and after release monitoring of changes to existing systems.
  • Communicate system change points and issue resolutions clearly to members in the department and internal customers in the company.
  • Work with international and local team members to resolve issues and ensure proper integration with other related systems.
  • Develop customer facing documentation, including troubleshooting and problem resolution steps and take ownership of escalated technical issues for resolution.
  • Assist in creating design specs to outline proposed changes to existing systems in order to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Plan periodically for preventative maintenance activities and provide awareness of system performance and reliability and contribute to the training material as needed for the owned systems.
  • Utilize knowledge of mechanical/electrical/electronic systems, design techniques, tools, and principles to resolve complex issues.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various Samsung systems.
