Requirements
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in leading M&A integration centers of excellence or M&A integrations, preferably within highly-acquisitive companies or professional services firms advising those companies.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and leading integration functions in a global corporate environment.
  • Extensive experience in M&A integration project and program management.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to influence and drive change, as well as coach and guide teams, at all organizational levels.
  • Strong understanding of organizational dynamics and how to navigate them to inspire and motivate change, build capabilities and enable successful integrations.
  • Expert at assessing a target’s cultural alignment and advising colleagues on key talent management opportunities and challenges related to a particular acquisition.

Responsibilities
  • Define and communicate the vision and strategy for ResMed’s M&A Integration center of excellence and capability, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives, unique culture, operating model, and key stakeholders.
  • Establish and continuously improve ResMed's M&A Integration practice across all phases, including due diligence, planning, execution, and post-merger execution.
  • Standardize and refine our integration approach, leveraging learnings from your experience and industry best practices, and codify them in user-friendly material and resources that integration leaders can easily adopt and reference.
  • Establish clear and consistent governance structures, reporting cadences, and KPI frameworks to track progress of integration efforts.
  • Recruit integration manager(s) and manage them to be valued team partners to integration leader and teams for specific acquisitions.
  • Establish an AI-augmented approach to M&A integration that improves ResMed’s overall effectiveness and productivity in M&A integration, while also improving the experience for integration teams and leaders.
  • Leverage AI tools and resources to develop, and continuously improve, integration frameworks and tools to streamline processes, automate manual activities as appropriate, enable data-informed decision-making, and manage integration activities across multiple deals.
  • Partner with business sponsors, integration leads and cross-functional integration teams to develop integration strategies and execution plans for each acquisition that align with the transaction’s strategic intent and value realization goals, while strengthening cultural alignment between the acquired company’s team and ResMed.
  • Manage the Program Management on execution of multiple integrations projects.
  • Partner with and guide integration leaders and cross-functional teams through the integration process, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to meet strategic objectives, synergy realization and risk management within targeted timelines and budgets.
  • Monitor and report on progress, adjusting the integration approach as necessary.
  • Partner with integration teams to identify and assess potential risks associated with the integration of a specific acquisition.
  • Jointly develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, as part of the overall integration approach and plan for the transaction, to ensure overall transaction success.
  • Foster collaboration across various departments, including the sponsoring unit, Deal Team, and shared service functions including Finance, Operations, HR, IT, and Legal, to ensure a coordinated and cohesive integration process.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of integration efforts.
  • Regularly report on integration progress and outcomes to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Capture key learnings for continual improvement.
