Requirements
  • Proficient in designing, building, and maintaining multi-cloud Kubernetes ecosystems (EKS, Google Kubernetes Engine, OpenShift, Rancher) with a focus on high availability and cost-efficiency.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code practices to configure, monitor, and manage environments across the software development life cycle using programmable, repeatable methods.
  • Experience building and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines and utilizing container registries to accelerate delivery.
  • Knowledge of modern networking architectures including service meshes and loosely coupled designs to enable robust service discovery and security.
  • Ability to collaborate with Security and Data Architects to develop failover and failback strategies and data protection protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a systems-thinking approach to troubleshooting complex, distributed environments.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and understanding the reasons behind tool usage, with an interest in CNCF landscape and evolving technologies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and participate in 24/7 on-call support in a rotational capacity.
  • Strong communication skills to translate complex technical requirements into actionable designs for stakeholders and vendors alike.
Responsibilities
  • Architect and orchestrate a multi-cloud Kubernetes ecosystem (EKS, Google Kubernetes Engine, OpenShift, and Rancher) with a focus on high availability and cost-efficiency.
  • Build, configure, and monitor environments across the software development life cycle using Infrastructure as Code in a programmatic, repeatable manner.
  • Implement and manage advanced networking architectures, including service mesh and loosely coupled designs, to ensure robust service discovery and security.
  • Build and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines and leverage container registries to accelerate delivery.
  • Partner with Security and Data Architects to develop robust failover/failback strategies and data protection protocols.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technology trends and act as a change agent to evolve internal practices.
