Barbaricum is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) providing expert recommendations on security design requirements and developing comprehensive security architectures for combat ground platforms. The ISSEE will plan, coordinate, and integrate cybersecurity tasks within systems engineering processes to meet Government policy and direction across all phases of system acquisition.

There is a focus on combat vehicles, the candidate will provide subject matter expertise in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance strategies, contributing to the National Cross Domain Strategy Management Office (NCDSMO) Raise the Bar (RTB) initiatives by implementing Cross Domain Solution (CDS) designs and cybersecurity testing to ensure compliance. They will play a critical role in the development and evaluation of cyber architectures, threat assessments, and cybersecurity solutions, supporting assessments, certifications, and the accreditation process for various systems.

Responsibilities

Recommend security designs and develop architectures for combat ground platforms.
Integrate cybersecurity tasks within systems engineering processes during system acquisition.
Provide expertise in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance for combat vehicles.
Implement Cross Domain Solution (CDS) designs as part of national cybersecurity initiatives.
Conduct cyber threat assessments and recommend solutions for identified deficiencies.
Support cybersecurity testing and certification, ensuring system compliance.
Facilitate certification processes with Army and national cybersecurity offices.
Translate security controls into system requirements and verify threat mitigations.
Participate in technical meetings and provide cybersecurity input on C5ISR integration.
Prepare and present cybersecurity-related materials and reports.

Qualifications

Active DoD Secret clearance required.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Information Technology with 12+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree in Engineering or Information Technology with 7-10 years of experience.
Experience in cybersecurity and information assurance for combat or defense systems.
Knowledge of Cross Domain Solution (CDS) processes and cybersecurity initiatives.
Expertise in cyber threat assessments and security evaluations.
Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and supply chain risk management.
Experience with certification processes such as IATT and ATO.
Proficiency in supporting cybersecurity testing activities.
Understanding of DoDAF artifacts and ground combat vehicle systems.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office for technical reports and presentations.
