Requirements
  • 0-2 years of customer service experience.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Eligibility to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registration to comply with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008.
  • Thorough understanding of Federal and State Regulations governing financial institutions, acquired and maintained through formal Member Assistant Training and required continuing education related to the Bank Secrecy Act, identity theft red flags, elderly abuse and financial exploitation, and robbery procedures.
  • Proficient operation and knowledge of CEFCU mainframe applications and the Teller Encore System, VSoft, Instant OFAC, OnBase, Quick Assist True Checks, Lobby Tracking, and Branch Appointments.
  • Basic operation and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to balance cashier’s checks, money orders, and other transactions, and perform receptionist duties including telephone etiquette and brochure and rate updates.
  • Cross-training as a receptionist within one year, if applicable.
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a strong, needs-based sales and service focus as defined and measured in the Member Center and Corporate Balanced Scorecards.
  • Determine members’ financial needs through a strategic questioning approach.
  • Educate members about and cross-sell CEFCU, CEFCU Investment Services, and CEFCU Financial Services products and services.
  • Utilize Creating Member Loyalty skills.
  • Process transactions, resolve account issues, and answer member questions.
  • Use third-party systems for check scanning and transaction verification.
  • Comply with government regulations and CEFCU policies.
  • Maintain cash drawer limits and achieve performance goals.
  • Provide the highest-quality experience for internal and external members.
  • Promote a professional image, collaborate with teammates, remain flexible in scheduling, and contribute to office duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • A proven record of relationship building, sales, and servicing skills demonstrated through applicable department metrics.
  • Thorough knowledge of CEFCU products and services.
  • Applicable college courses and/or commensurate experience.
