Role Overview

Noom is seeking a Pharmacy Operations Associate to support the expansion of Noom Med, as well as the working relationships, partnerships, and operations with compounding pharmacies and clinical vendors. You’ll help to manage pharmacy inventory, packaging, shipment, and fulfillment of medication orders, which have expanded significantly since the launch of Noom’s GLP-1Rx offering and will continue to do so with the evolution of the Noom Med program.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage daily pharmacy operations, including processing orders, inventory management, fulfillment issue resolution, and ensuring smooth communication with pharmacy vendors.
• Utilize Noom Med’s pharmacy management system for documentation and coordination.
• Serve as a liaison between clinicians, patients, and pharmacy ensuring seamless communication and support across departments
• Collaborate with customer service and health coach teams to address patient needs and assist with troubleshooting issues.
• Managing Help Desk tickets in Jira (or any other ticketing system we might move into in the future) and following up with Care Coordinators
• Collaborate cross-functionally across departments to achieve company goals and drive business success
• Communicate with patients as needed regarding pharmacy orders and maintain dashboard documentation
• Work with the BPO team, providing guidance on care coordination and prior authorization requests in line with Noom Med’s protocol.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs 

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant and/or Pharmacy Technician, with a background in digital healthcare or telemedicine.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of relevant education is a plus. 
  • Willingness to obtain pharmacy technician or medical assistant certification is also a plus. 
• Proficiency in using pharmacy management systems and working with pharmacy vendors.
  • Experience with vendor management, compounding pharmacies, and/or pharmacy benefit managers (PBM) is a plus. 
• Strong self-starter mindset, empathy, professionalism, interpersonal skills, and customer service-mindset to effectively interact with clinicians, patients, and internal teams.
• Experience in clinical quality assurance through chart audits and protocol adherence review.
  • Familiarity with care coordination and prior authorization workflows is a plus. 
• Working knowledge in medical terminology and thorough understanding of HIPAA.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to effectively communicate with medical professionals, pharmacy representatives, and patients
• Self-starter mindset, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Comfortable with technology, digital healthcare platforms and proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems.
  • Working knowledge in Looker, Iterable, Mixpanel, Zendesk, Jira is a plus.

Base Salary

• The US base salary range for this full-time position is $91,000 - $124,000.
• The range displayed on each job posting is based on Noom’s estimate as of the date of publication and reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position across all US locations. The actual placement of the candidate within the range is based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, assessment of functional skills and behavioral competencies, and scope. This range is not inclusive of any discretionary bonus or equity package.
