PRIMARY PURPOSE: To engage assigned sales leads and prospects for state specific workers’ compensation services via telephone and email contact
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiates sales calls to potential customers or leads to cultivate new business
- Works assigned prospects to promote and sell products and/or services, i.e. enrollment into workers’ compensation programs.
- Follows established procedures and guidelines; may require deviation from standard screens, scripts and procedures based on leads.
- Contacts targeted state workers’ compensation policy holders to gain permission to review for client workers’ compensation program.
- Negotiates fees within limits of authority and specified parameters.
- Support overall sales and marketing initiatives of the organization.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports the organization’s quality program(s).
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
High School diploma or GED required.
Experience
Two (2) years of inside sales/telemarketing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of inside sales and telemarketing
- Knowledge of organizations’ products and services
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
