What You’ll Do:

• Respond swiftly to emerging issues on our data platform, ensuring data integrity, reliability, and timely delivery.

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines to enable seamless data flow across the organization.

• Identify areas for optimization and continuously improve data models, storage, and retention policies.

• Lead and mentor team members to drive excellence in architecture, design, and programming.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure our platform meets the data needs of all teams.

What You’ll Bring:

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering with a proven track record of delivering high-quality data solutions.

• 5+ years of experience with GitHub and version control best practices.

• Strong proficiency in Scala and Python to build scalable solutions.

• Expertise in Apache Spark and Elastic MapReduce (EMR), with experience optimizing Spark jobs for performance.

• Experience with Spark Streaming and Kafka.

• Knowledge of data orchestration systems like Luigi to manage workflows.

• Solid understanding of Redshift, Spectrum, Athena, MySQL, and AWS ecosystem.

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Spinnaker and knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with Databricks to investigate and resolve data discrepancies.

• Bonus: Familiarity with Google Analytics/GBQ and Tableau is a plus!

The compensation package offered may vary depending on employment experience, skills, and knowledge. Compensation ranges for candidates in locations outside of the location(s) below may differ based on the cost of labor, market, and additional factors.

The pay range for this position is below:

    • 175,000 - 190,000 per year in New York

Note: Commission-eligible roles are expressed as on-target earnings (base and commission). Non-commission roles are expressed as base salary only but are also eligible for annual incentives.
