Requirements
  • BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Science Engineering with 10+ years or MS with 6+ years of experience in related fields
  • Knowledge of tools and modeling techniques of power electronic modules / components, from a size, weight, performance, and cost perspective
  • Experience developing and maintaining models in matlab / simulink
  • Ability to estimate model development duration and prioritize the development of multiple models
  • Ability to summarize modeling results into plots / comparisons to support the down selection of topologies and components
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Lead the modeling / simulation effort characterizing size, weight, performance, and cost of DC/DC and DC/AC power electronic converters
  • Develop and maintain documentation on simulation processes
  • Develop and maintain models in matlab / simulink to support trade study analyses and key performance metrics
  • Provide cost & duration estimates for performing simulation tasks
  • Prepare computing infrastructure analysis, budget needs, implementation, and maintenance
  • Summarize and communicate results to key stakeholders
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team consisting of electrical, mechanical, and project management
