Diamond Foundry produces single crystal diamond wafers used to improve heat management in high-tech systems. They develop and manufacture semiconductor-grade diamond wafers and related technologies for B2B customers, including AI, EVs, and wireless communications, to help devices run cooler and more efficiently. The wafers leverage diamond's exceptional thermal conductivity to spread and dissipate heat from powerful chips beyond what traditional materials can handle. They differentiate themselves by offering a sustainable, zero-carbon production process and a complete semiconductor-grade tech stack, targeting Tier 1 automakers and other high-tech firms. Their goal is to lead in both advanced materials and environmental sustainability by providing reliable, high-performance cooling solutions for mega tech applications.

Diamond Foundry, a synthetic diamond manufacturer backed by Leonardo DiCaprio, is establishing a facility in Trujillo, Spain, to produce diamond substrates for high-performance chips. The company, operating since March 2023, uses solar-powered technology to replicate natural diamond formation conditions in laboratory settings. DiCaprio is among several investors supporting the project, which aligns with his sustainability investments. The actor stated he is "proud to invest in Diamond Foundry, a company that reduces human and environmental costs by growing sustainable diamonds." Beyond his business investments, DiCaprio founded the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation in California, which supports climate resilience, wildlife protection and ecosystem restoration globally. The foundation advocates for Rights of Nature legislation at local, state and international levels, including at the United Nations.
Spain's government has invested €753 million in Diamond Foundry's lab-created diamond manufacturing plant in Trujillo, Extremadura, as part of a semiconductor support program. The facility, established in 2023, is projected to receive an additional €1.6 billion by 2029. It will produce around 4 million carats annually, primarily for technology applications. The investment is expected to create over 2,100 jobs, including 500 directly at the factory.

Public confused by natural diamond marketing claims to the contrarySAN FRANCISCO, June 4, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Diamond Foundry today confirmed that its technological advances have made lab created diamonds ever more environmental: they now require ten times (!) less energy to create than it takes to mine ones already created by Earth.Further, the energy used to create them has zero carbon emissions in Diamond Foundry's production. This compares to the dirtiest Diesel generally used in mining diamond industrially in Africa.Earth takes a lot of pressure over a long time to yield diamond crystal, then mining "just" needs to extract such crystals already formed. So how come forming diamond in a lab from scratch is actually a lot more energy efficient? The reason is that mining is extremely inefficient — a ton of earth has to be moved to yield small quantities of crystals."In truth, it has been since 2017 already that we required less energy per carat than mining – it's just that everyone has kept thinking the opposite because of the misleading marketing by the mining cartel," said Martin Roscheisen, CEO of Diamond Foundry, adding: "Now though, we are at ten times less energy, so it is truly time for everyone to stop saying anything else."Nestled among the apple orchards of America's beautiful Pacific West, Diamond Foundry produces diamonds using zero-emission energy by converting the greenhouse gas methane into diamond using American ingenuity and craftsmanship. Its diamonds are of unquestionable origin – no complicated bureaucracy and "tracing" required.More than half of all diamonds sold in the United States – including engagement rings – are now created in labs rather than mined.Diamond Foundry Inc. is the #1 producer of single-crystal diamond worldwide. Couples are increasingly choosing a lab-grown diamond for their all-important diamond engagement ring purchase. The Wall Street Journal reported that more than one-third of U.S. couples chose a lab-grown center stone in 2022, based upon a survey conducted by The Knot among nearly 12,000 engaged couples
