Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience within automotive, robotics, AgTech, industrial automation, or aerospace.
  • Experience selling in one of the company’s core industries, including automotive, industrial automation, aerospace/defense, or AgTech.
  • Foundational engineering and technology literacy sufficient to navigate complex conversations with startup founders, enterprise board members, and technical Product Managers.
  • Ability to demonstrate complex technology, teach new clients about the product development lifecycle, and articulate the value proposition of specialized technical solutions.
  • Ability to stay current with industry and competitive research, understand client business challenges, industry trends, and markets, and map company capabilities to client objectives.
  • Ability to use data and metrics for continual improvement.
  • Ability to travel domestically to national conferences, client facilities, and networking activities.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate a small growth team covering marketing, research, and outbound roles, directing targeted industry-specific campaigns each quarter.
  • Source, qualify, and win new client partnerships while meeting dedicated growth targets.
  • Collaborate with internal Product Managers to understand technical capabilities, cross-pollinate pipeline opportunities, and transition new accounts smoothly.
  • Identify early-stage industry trends, technological investments, and new market entrants to generate business opportunities.
  • Identify and engage potential clients through targeted outreach and qualify companies and projects during discovery.
  • Work with clients to craft product visions and ground execution plans in industry-specific research.
  • Develop and refine concepts, create presentations, lead brainstorming sessions, and craft verbal and visual narratives that align stakeholders.
  • Lead the creation of Rough Order of Magnitude cost estimates with the engineering team, balancing technical risk with high-value entry points for new clients.
  • Serve as a key contact between the company and target institutions and represent the company at national industry events and conferences.
  • Use customer relationship management systems to track capture rates, lead generation, and metrics and provide data-informed sales forecasts.
