Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship and U.S. work authorization are required.
  • An active Public Trust level clearance is required.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, including five or more additional years of experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a similar relevant degree is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of network switching in Dell Blade systems and firewall management for virtual infrastructures is required.
  • Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation is required.
  • Experience with the VMware Aria Operations suite is required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate working sessions with technical staff and supportive vendors or resellers when necessary is required.
  • Subject matter expertise in at least two of the following is required: Kubernetes, server hosting, virtual networking, network and application security, or scripting and programming.
  • Experience with at least three of the following technology areas is required: VMware products such as vCenter or vSphere; Omnissa products such as Workspace One or Horizon VDI; Microsoft Windows Server or Linux-based server operating systems; Dell or HPE blade or rack server hardware; or Kubernetes container infrastructure such as Tanzu or Docker.
Responsibilities
  • Review existing operational events and propose refinements, automation, or broader handling capabilities, focusing on service uptime and performance.
  • Interact with stakeholders in the client community, including Enterprise Operations, Cybersecurity, networking, cloud, technology support partners, and other relevant teams, for troubleshooting and solution development.
  • Identify and report the current vulnerability and risk state of the client's virtual server and container hosting architecture.
  • Assist in developing and performing quality-control checks for service uptime and operations.
  • Assist in developing and performing operational metrics for service uptime and operations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Dell or Cisco chassis network and storage switch configuration experience.
