Requirements
  • 4+ years accounts payable experience
  • College degree, preferably in accounting, finance or equivalent years of experience
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Proficient skills with MS Excel and MS Word
  • Attention to detail, organized, and high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking of both English and Mandarin Chinese is highly desired.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills, critical thinker, and problem solver.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department.
  • Lead vendor account balances verification by reconciling monthly statements against the AP Aging Report.
  • Maintain good relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assist in misc. accounting tasks and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Responsible for verification of any changes around vendor updates (banking details, address, etc.);
  • Validate incoming vendor invoices; to include 3-way matching, obtaining appropriate documentation, credit memos for discrepancies, and work closely with the merch team on price/quantity review(s) and tickets.
  • Review and verify non-PO related invoices for accuracy.
  • Assist with the weekly preparation for payment proposal(s).
  • Maintain documented best practices, identify inefficiencies, and recommend changes for review by management.
  • Maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Act as a main point of contact while working closely with the AP Manager to resolve AP related issues.
  • Heavy focus on AP Aging Report reviews and reconciliations; ensuring aged payables are resolved, proper review and reconciliation processes are in place. To include, communication internally and externally along with assisting with write-offs.
  • Compliance with statutory requirements; to include issuance of 1099s, collections of W-9 and W-8’s.
