Reports to the Training Program Supervisor, and is responsible for the Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation of training materials, with an emphasis on industrial and electrical safety, Radiological Control and Control of Hazardous Energy (lockout/Tagout). Performs tasks in accordance with applicable project procedures, guides, policies, laws, regulations, Contract, Authorization Basis, and technical requirements. The individual will support Requirement Area Managers and functional Subject Matter Experts (SME) to systematically develop quality training that supports the requirement area mission and in addition to include the Implementation (delivery) of training materials as called upon.
This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS
Conduct Technical training (e.g. classroom and performance-based training), including instruction, exam administration and training effectiveness evaluations:
The ability to develop Technical training programs and curriculum from published standards, approved procedures, technical requirements and SME input/feedback.
Implement the Technical training program to qualify contractors, operations, maintenance, laboratory, radiological control, and/or other technical personnel to ensure staff have the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform work safely in compliance with site and industry maintenance standards with competencies commensurate with their responsibilities.
Coordinate and communicate between the training organization and other line management or support organizations to ensure training needs are identified and met through effective training.
Perform observations and assessments to ensure activities are implemented safely and effectively in accordance with approved procedures.
Support a strong Nuclear Safety Quality Culture (NSQC) by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work, in order to protect self, others, and the environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Education/Experience:
Minimum Requirements per DOE O 426.2:
1. High School Diploma
AND
2. At least 3 years nuclear-related job-related experience (e.g technical position in Nuclear Operations in Naval Nuclear, Department of Energy Nuclear, or Commercial Nuclear Operations).
Additional WTCC REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree preferably with courses in education or training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing as well as evaluation of training programs, AND 10 years’ experience as a trainer and/or operator at a Department of Energy Nuclear facility or similar high-hazard facility. 4 years technical training implementation experience.
Associates degree preferably with courses in education or training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing as well as evaluation of training programs, AND 12 years’ experience as a trainer and/or operator at a Department of Energy Nuclear facility or similar high-hazard facility. 4 years technical training implementation experience.

No degree preferably with courses in education or training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing as well as evaluation of training programs, AND 14 years’ experience as a trainer and/or operator at a Department of Energy Nuclear facility or similar high-hazard facility. 4 years technical training implementation experience.

Ensuring that facility operators, managers, workers, and contractor’s safety needs are being met with effective electrical safety and LO/TO solutions, information, and training.

Applicant must have experience in the following areas:

At least 6 years documented experience utilizing the Systematic Approach to Training (specifically Job-Task Analysis).

Able to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the organization in addition to people of varied backgrounds and perspectives.
Strong team skills, including the ability to coach and facilitate classroom teams.
Self-motivated requiring minimal supervisory oversight.
Familiarity with the nuclear industry or other highly regulated training environments
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.
This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site.
Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $112,835.92 - $178,251.96 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
