Requirements
  • Proven experience in billing or customer service, preferably in a healthcare or insurance setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Must have a thorough understanding of billing processes, component coverage, and relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Investigate and determine the root cause of member billing issues, resolving errors promptly and accurately.
  • Track and report trends related to common billing errors from providers to address and mitigate systemic issues.
  • Ensure the completeness and authenticity of member bills. Verify that all charges are accurate and reflect the services provided.
  • Maintain and audit Member Bill records on SharePoint in compliance with regulations, rules, policies, and procedures. Conduct regular reviews for accuracy.
  • Knowledgeable about component coverage to effectively handle and resolve billing issues.
  • Manage potential payments ranging from $500 to $2000, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to policies.
  • Audit Member Bill payment requests and prepare them for Supervisor approval, ensuring compliance with all documentation and procedures.
  • Engage with members professionally and empathetically, effectively communicating and promoting the value of Lantern services. Operate with a customer-first mindset to enhance member satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the claims processing team
