Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Follow established standard operating procedures for sample handling and record keeping
  • Receive and triage patient specimens
  • Assign each specimen an accession number and create a patient chart
  • Enter patient information into LIMS database with strict adherence to HIPPA laws
  • Transport all accessioned specimens to the DNA extraction team and/or cell culture team
  • Label patient documents with barcode for later scanning of patient charts through OnBase
  • Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance, take authorized corrective action, and notify key individuals
  • Adhere to quality control policies and document all quality control activities
Desired Qualifications
  • AS or BS degree in chemistry, biology, or related science field
  • Data Entry experience
