Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field, and a minimum of two years of experience working within a PACT or ACT team, or another community behavioral healthcare program for people with serious mental illness (SMI).
  • Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
  • Must be able to travel on at least a quarterly basis within Washington State. Both day travel and overnight travel are required.
Responsibilities
  • Further develop and refine Psychiatric Rehabilitation training curriculum, slides, and supporting resources and materials (30%).
  • Take the lead on conducting several PACT fidelity reviews per year, with co-reviewers from other PACT and New Journeys teams and/or staff from UW SPIRIT Lab. This role includes leading the consensus rating process with co-reviewers, writing a comprehensive fidelity report focused on quality improvement recommendations and training, and providing feedback to teams about fidelity findings (20%).
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate professional consultation to PACT teams through the PACT Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) Clinic, as well as in person and by phone. This role will also include consultation to agency administrators to facilitate adoption and sustainment of PACT and other evidence-based practices within PACT (20%).
  • Provide didactic mini-training within PACT ECHO Clinics and other webinars to teams in psychiatric rehabilitation strategies (10%).
  • Anticipate PACT teams’ training needs and coordinate with other trainers on ongoing training and support to the teams statewide (5%).
  • Respond to or triage training inquiries. Collaboratively, with Project Leads, assess feasibility, timeline, and implementation strategy for training efforts (5%).
  • Assist administrative staff with developing and finalizing collaborating external trainers’ and consultants’ statements of work and contracts as needed (5%).
  • Work with colleagues to formulate and implement strategies to engage diverse groups of evidence-based practice implementation stakeholders (5%).
Desired Qualifications
  • Expertise in psychiatric rehabilitation or other forms of skills training with people with serious mental illness. This could include experience in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience with training and/or consulting to other behavioral healthcare clinicians.
  • Experience in recovery-oriented care and shared decision making.
  • Bilingual applicants and/or applicants with strong training in culturally-informed and trauma-informed care preferred.
