Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, lead, and facilitate Aquinas Center programming on campus and in the community.
  • Develop, promote, and implement Spanish-speaking programs and initiatives for Spanish-speaking Catholic parishioners.
  • Organize, coordinate, and implement Aquinas Center activities with the Executive Director.
  • Develop programs and initiatives to engage underrepresented racial and ethnic groups.
  • Organize, coordinate, and implement operational aspects of programs, including establishing long-term operational objectives, researching factors affecting program success, and documenting program requirements with individuals or groups.
  • Engage organizations within Emory University, the Archdiocese of Atlanta, and the greater Atlanta community for programming partnerships.
  • Promote and manage program registration to accomplish program goals and objectives.
  • Conduct research and gather information to develop new programs.
  • Develop conversation guides for designated Aquinas Center events for use by faith-formation leaders in Catholic parishes.
  • Develop promotional materials and communications, including social media, newsletters, and other written information related to programming.
  • Assist in developing and coordinating program-related meetings.
  • Prepare operational and statistical reports.
  • Represent the Aquinas Center in meetings, conferences, and networks with affiliated groups.
  • Supervise assigned project staff, interns, and volunteers when required.
  • Participate in budget-planning activities when required.
  • Assist in identifying funding resources and developing fundraising strategies and initiatives when required.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in theology or a related field is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish, strong written communication skills, and public speaking abilities are preferred.
  • Experience working at the parish or diocesan level and engagement with Catholic intellectual traditions are preferred.
  • Two years of detailed event-planning experience in a university, faith-based, or nonprofit setting is preferred.
  • Two years of experience with budgeting, procurement, expense management, reporting, and monthly reconciliations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Canva is preferred.
  • The ability to lead and coordinate student assistants, staff, and volunteers during a program is preferred.
