Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in mortgage loan processing is required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
- Knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines and regulations is required.
- Proficiency in loan origination and processing software is required.
- The ability to exercise discretion, judgment, and high-level analytical skills to interpret complex situations is required.
- The ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day, sit for extended periods, kneel and bend at the waist, walk up and down stairs, walk on unlevel terrain, use the hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with the hands and arms, talk, and hear is required.
- The ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds is required.
- Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision are required.
Responsibilities
- Review loan applications for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify borrower information through third-party vendors.
- Collect and organize all necessary documentation from borrowers.
- Communicate with Loan Officers, Underwriters, and borrowers to resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare loan files for underwriting and closing.
