Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with a major/minor or emphasis in HR or another relevant field is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships and work across boundaries to drive results
  • Assist and advise business leaders with day to day HR matters to manage the employee life cycle (e.g. workforce planning, performance management, and terminations)
  • Lead or participate in projects impacting business results (ex. internship program, associate program, L&D program etc.)
  • Support business in annual talent cycles, specifically year-end review and compensation planning
  • Support the leadership succession planning process and support leaders in developing and nurturing diverse talent
  • Provide HR/people related data, metrics, trends, and other ancillary data that could improve the effectiveness and efficiencies of our team and platform performance
  • Assist in the development and execution of HR initiatives that support business priorities and targets
  • Integrate a mindset around diversity and inclusion constantly; be able and willing to coach others to understand ways to optimize the firm’s values
  • Actively participate in developing and embedding HR Priorities, policies and processes ensuring that HR activity/interventions is based around the needs of the businesses, legislation and best practice
  • Actively leverage the central HR platform, internal networks and available technology to drive value and results
  • Proactively anticipate opportunities or issues and develop innovative solutions to address the opportunities at root cause with the intention to arrive at sustainable solutions
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the commercial real estate sector, property management is a definite asset
  • Understanding of acquisitions and dispositions is a definite asset
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards Legislation in Ontario and throughout Canada is preferred
  • Experience working with Workday HRIS is an asset
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
