About the Role

Dandy is hiring a Lean Manufacturing Specialist to support the production team and processes as we scale our output. Directly support our operations through the Lean journey by working with the Managers and other key stakeholders. This position will provide direct support that focuses on the implementation and enhancement of the Dandy continuous improvement system.

What You’ll Do

• Investigate operational problems affecting production and reporting and recommending solutions.
• Support hands-on process improvements using a combination of Lean Manufacturing with a focus towards optimizing labor resources and systems, flow creation, 5S and waste reduction.
• Supports the day-to-day and tactical efforts toward the achievement of the strategic plan objectives.
• As a frontline support, you will interface with department managers, develop feedback loops, and work with operations leadership to improve our processes.
• Develop and support people with lean principles
• Solve for scale: support and refine a complex operational system that includes supply chain, logistics, sales, product, and partner/vendor relationship management
• Help identify operational bottlenecks and build scalable solutions that grow our capacity
• Leverage a wealth of disparate data sources to inform strategic decision making
• Support new operational initiatives with stakeholders across the business (operations, product, and IT)
• Work with other relevant departments to determine estimated costs, run time, cost reduction and close the feedback loop

What We’re looking for

• BA/BS degree in Engineering, Project Management or related field preferred OR 3+ years of experience coaching, facilitation and organizational skills with a track record of successful change management.
• Knowledge and practical experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
• Experience in analyzing and interpreting data for strategic decision making.
• Working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and fix problems in a hands-on manner
• Intellectual curiosity and research abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment with multiple deadlines.
