Job Duties:
The Bucknell University Department of East Asian Studies invites applications for a three-year renewable position as an Assistant Teaching Professor of Japanese language to begin in the 2026–27 academic year. Teaching responsibilities include three language courses each term for a total of six in the academic year. Specific courses offered will depend upon departmental needs.
MA, ABD, or Ph.D. required. Teaching experience and the ability to offer courses beyond Japanese language highly favored. Candidates must be able to speak English effectively and have native or near-native command of Japanese, with standard pronunciation.
