Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, science, planning, engineering management or a related degree is required; or equivalent combination of experience and licensure
  • A minimum of 11 years of industry experience required; a minimum of 8 years of project management experience required
  • Design experience required
  • Expert knowledge of project engineering and/or general construction principles and construction schedule
  • Knowledge of multi-prime contracts
  • Experience leading public clients on school and municipal projects through the design and construction process required
  • Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents for projects required
  • Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships
  • Experience understanding and interpreting client contract requirements
  • Ability to track and oversee multiple projects required
  • Experience utilizing problem-solving skills, exercising discretion, and making independent judgments required
  • Experience managing project accounting processes to include project budgeting, forecasts and cash management required
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Experience managing client relationships with investor-owned utilities is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed required
  • Consulting industry experience highly preferred
  • Strong ability to resolve matters timely and lead initiatives/projects to completion with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, build and manage relationships and influence decisions from the top down and bottom up
  • Trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive information or situations with discretion
  • PE, AIA, CCM, or CEM license preferred
Responsibilities
  • Oversees capital projects within the Commercial & Institutional – PM/CM Team at CHA
  • Serves as a trusted advisor and owner representative to clients, ensuring all projects are completed according to client specifications and client needs are met across all sites
  • Leads collaboration and problem solving to adapt and stay calm under pressure
  • Sales and develop work with specific clients, ultimately leading to a “seller/doer” dual role
  • Communicates updates to the client, management and project team, and prepares for and attends monthly project review meetings with operations
  • Sets visions and strategies for other Project Managers
  • Understands the professional goals of others
  • Builds a career path within CHA and supports career growth

  • Participates in culture and values initiatives
Desired Qualifications
