Responsibilities
  • Contributing to the completion of the SOX compliance program by analyzing, reviewing, and testing accounting and financial controls as well as working with our external auditors
  • Participating in the performance of different aspects of assurance and advisory engagements, including planning, executing and reporting
  • Assisting with enterprise risk assessment workshops in support of the enterprise risk management assessment
  • Applying basic accounting principles to routine business transactions and recording related journal entries
  • Contributing to projects to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting rhythms
  • Assisting with Canadian and US tax compliance filings and preparing documentation for audit requests
  • Participating in projects to improve processes and controls across the finance department, including new system implementations
  • Supporting on Enterprise Data capture initiatives to inform longer term forecasting
