Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing as an RN.
  • Current RN state licensure.
  • Experience in clinical nursing.
  • At least 6 months of chronic or acute dialysis nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies and management skills, including communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, results orientation, team building, employee motivation, performance management, and decision making.
  • Demonstrated management skills necessary to supervise facility personnel and ensure maximum quality care for patients.
  • Successfully passed the Ishihara Color Blind Test.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the dialysis facility in accordance with legal, compliance, regulatory, and program requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and Clinical Manager or Charge Nurse to coordinate quality patient care from admission through discharge.
  • Make daily decisions to ensure continuity of care and patient and staff safety.
  • Market available services through presentations to physicians and dialysis facilities.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for direct reports.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Quality, Education, and Technical Services departments.
  • Oversee the facility’s Home Therapies Program with the Home Therapies Program Manager.
  • Maintain medical and operational records and complete required data collection, auditing, network reporting, and state or federal surveys.
  • Manage short- and long-term objectives, facility staffing, costs, methods, and operational results.
  • Administer daily dialysis clinic business operations, including center staff, patient-care quality, physical plant and equipment, and inventory control.
  • Manage profit and loss and related financial aspects to meet or exceed budgets and key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate patient care and address patient and family concerns.
  • Oversee completion of patient assessments and care plans.
  • Manage patient schedules and develop action plans for missed treatments.
  • Report changes in patient status involving clinical, insurance, travel, or transportation issues.
  • Participate in selecting and hiring team members and ensure completion of orientation and mandatory training.
  • Ensure patient-care employees complete required training and maintain current licenses and certifications.
  • Provide ongoing staff support and promote professional growth.
  • Obtain feedback for employee evaluations, establish annual goals, and conduct evaluations.
  • Document disciplinary actions and consult with Human Resources and the Director of Operations.
  • Manage staff scheduling and payroll.
  • Facilitate physician privileges and compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws.
  • Maintain physician relationships and regular communication.
  • Participate in regional Governing Body activities.
  • Oversee the Charge RN and direct patient-care responsibilities within the facility.
  • Implement and maintain Continuous Quality Improvement and Quality Assessment and Improvement programs.
  • Review center operations for compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Support quality standards, regulatory compliance, risk-management initiatives, and facility-specific action plans.
  • Oversee staff training and implementation of quality policies and procedures.
  • Manage facility staff workload and provide guidance to ensure timely execution of duties.
  • Create and communicate employee schedules according to facility staffing needs.
  • Manage hiring, firing, disciplinary actions, and documentation of disciplinary meetings.
  • Ensure new-hire orientation, ICD coding training, mandatory in-services, licensure documentation, and policy updates are completed.
  • Provide training and guidance to develop staff clinical competencies and professional growth.
  • Communicate company benefits, Human Resources policies, and procedures to staff.
  • Maintain communication of corporate and divisional initiatives, policies, and procedures to facility staff.
  • Use company services and products to contribute to business growth.
  • Maintain facility environmental integrity and safety.
  • Schedule maintenance and repair of equipment, operating systems, and the facility structure.
  • Monitor facility security.
  • Coordinate inventory and supply management, purchase orders, medication, laboratory, supplies, and equipment utilization.
  • Contribute to facility policies, procedures, manuals, and updates.
  • Direct information gathering for billing, billing issues, and collections.
  • Coordinate and approve facility payroll.
  • Participate in internal and external state and federal surveys.
  • Review provider contracts for vendor services.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role in a medical facility.
  • Med/surg or ICU/CCU experience.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with medical database software.
