Requirements
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware and documents which are subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
  • This position is onsite (not remote) based in Colorado, and requires at least 25% travel to visit customers, peer group companies, and other Trexon business units.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, leading and growing a comparable business in the major markets served. Post-graduate degree highly desirable, but not required.
  • Experience: Ten years of experience in a manufacturing organization, at least seven of which in a meaningful sales or engineering leadership position. Proven experience developing profitable strategies and implementing vision. Experience presenting high-level business performance and strategic initiatives to Corporate and/or Board leadership teams.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of multi-faceted business processes including finance, product development, manufacturing, procurement, and people/performance management. Strong industry knowledge with deep knowledge of ISO and AS9100 certifications.
  • Skills: Outstanding organizational and leadership skills, strong analytical ability and problem-solving aptitude. Strong management skills and social influence including planning, resource organization, team building, time management, emotional intelligence, change and conflict management, influencing and negotiation, endurance, a strategic mindset, and sound judgment. Ability to generate ideas and present data, public speaking, and designing cross-company communication. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels including Corporate and company-level growth strategy and monthly business operations reviews.
Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop vision and strategy including budgets, initiatives, and plans for organic growth and expansion into new markets or geographies for both businesses in line with Trexon’s objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: Communicate, explain and operationalize strategies into actionable improvements and prioritized plans managed by teams and individual contributors.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop internal metrics to measure, track, isolate and diagnose areas of strength and improvement needed to execute initiatives and meet targets.
  • Strategic Planning: Identify opportunities such as megatrends, market segments and applications to strengthen brand, performance and competitive advantage across both businesses.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in operations reviews, planning and strategy sessions with greater leadership and corporate teams.
  • Business Development: Generate ideas, define initiatives, and direct activities that improve brand, competitive advantage and market position.
  • Business Development: Identify reasonable and strategic opportunities for geographic or market expansion, build and appraise strategic partnerships, onboard new customers, and penetrate new markets for sustainable revenues.
  • Business Development: Create and elevate a channel-to-market organization and product development capabilities to reach target customers, revenue, and profitability metrics.
  • Business Development: Monitor customer service and market trends to improve communication, processes and relationships to elevate the customer journey.
  • Product Development: Ensure product development processes reflect the company philosophies and market opportunities.
  • Product Development: Lead and elevate product development processes and teams to research and invent solutions, develop proposals, enhance existing products, and optimize design processes.
  • Product Development: Oversee frameworks to assess viability of new products and ability to solve customer problems.
  • Operational Excellence: Diagnose opportunities for continuous improvement, unburden workflows, increase profitability, remove obstacles, and drive action.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive standardization in alignment with goals including quality standards, documentation protocols, and performance metrics.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop systems thinking and implement organization design changes to improve outcomes.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead, manage and monitor production planning, purchasing, materials management, operations and quoting/pricing functions via ERP.
  • Operational Excellence: Modernize and improve manufacturing and operations including upgraded technology, tooling, automated processes, LEAN implementation.
  • Workforce Development: Plan, design, allocate and shift resources based on priorities across both companies.
  • Workforce Development: Energize teams and develop a high-performance culture of innovation.
  • Workforce Development: Develop an excellent team of diverse leaders that can respond to opportunities and challenges.
  • Workforce Development: Architect sustainable, adaptable, and scalable teams that are empowered.
  • Workforce Development: Establish a human capital strategy for retention and development of top performers including career development programs.
