Requirements
  • Clearance Level Needed: Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret Clearance (Interim Secret required to start)
  • On-site requirement: 1-2 days/week (Pax River, MD) after onboarding (~30 days)
  • Security+ certification required to start
  • Experience with Red Had Identity Management
  • Experience with Red Hat Satellite
  • Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance practices, including Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) process
  • Experience with Red Hat Openshift
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) exposure
  • Experience working within a complex Unix team environment
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for assisting with operating system and security patching efforts across multiple DoD Enclaves
  • Work collaboratively with other Data Center teams to provide Unix/Linux based solutions to meet business requirements
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Ansible playbooks and other administrative shell scripting
  • Effectively analyze and resolve problems involving interaction between applications, server hardware/firmware/OS and storage by working with cross functional teams and equipment vendors with minimal supervision
  • Participating in an on-call rotation
  • Taking ownership of outages and seeing that the issue is resolved in a timely manner
  • Taking ownership of incidents and service requests via ticketing queue and seeing that the requests are completed in a timely manner
  • Attend meetings with current and incoming customers for technical advice on proposed projects
  • Perform and encourage team morale, training completions, time keeping, etc
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred
  • Experience with escalating vendor support
  • Experience in RHEL 7 & 8
  • Cloud-based certifications
