- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or closely related field
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required
- Experience supporting Department of Defense and Intelligence Community programs (DoD/IC)
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle including design, development, deployment and implementation of software products throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Be part of the development team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Develop software in a variety of software development languages and environments
- Object-Oriented programming with modern development languages
- Agile software development practices and tools (e.g., Scrum, Jira)
- Modern cloud-computing software and tools including distributed computing platforms (Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, Software as a Service)
- Micro-services, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Modern data architectures and tools: Python, MATLAB, IDL, Java, JavaScript / Typescript, NodeJS, C++
- Frameworks: Angular, Spring Boot, Vue, QT, React
- Database modeling: OpenSearch Dashboards
- Algorithm development, database design, UI/UX
- Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Test-Driven Development methodologies (JUnit)
- Web and Service-Oriented Architecture technologies, visualization technologies, image processing, database and/or geospatial (GIS) technologies
- Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle including agile development processes, tools, and methodologies
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

On January 12, NextGen Federal Systems (NextGen) announced the award of its first prime contract with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for the Space-domain Wide Area Tracking and Characterization (Space-WATCH) program.
By partnering with Ansys, NextGen Federal Systems enhances its ability to deliver innovative solutions tailored to the unique needs of each client, officials said.
This collaboration formally establishes NextGen as a trusted services partner for Ansys' Defense and Intelligence market.
NextGen awarded 618th AOC operational analysis support contract.
Through this effort, NextGen will collaborate closely with the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and directorates within the 618th AOC to facilitate the development of requirements, business rules, and metrics to capture and analyze data in light of system changes or deficiencies.
