Requirements
  • An MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school is required.
  • Board certification or board eligibility is required.
  • Fellowship training in Breast Surgery is required.
  • Successful completion of a fellowship through the Society of Surgical Oncology or the American Society of Breast Surgeons is required.
  • Eligibility for Massachusetts medical licensure is required.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration registration or the ability to obtain it is required.
  • The role requires strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat benign and malignant breast disease.
  • Perform a full spectrum of breast surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, genetics, and supportive care teams.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and breast cancer conferences.
  • Utilize advanced surgical techniques and evidence-based practices to optimize outcomes.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining a commitment to clinical excellence.
Desired Qualifications
  • Interest and expertise in complex oncoplastic breast surgery is preferred.
