About the opportunity:

The Accounting Director will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of the Accounting team, including financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements. This role requires a detail oriented leader with a deep understanding of accounting principles and the ability to drive financial excellence.

The day to day:

• Provide strategic direction and coaching to three current direct reports.

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of general ledger accounts and reconciliations.

• Review and approve complex journal entries and adjustments.

• Help manage the internal and external audit processes (SOX)

• Oversee the maintenance of fixed asset records and related accounting.

• Ownership of Company wide intercompany process and reconciliation.

• Contribute to the development of the Company’s FX and translation reporting and analysis.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial goals.

• Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function including further developing process documentation and team training.

• Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.

• 10+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a Management role 

• Experience with payment processors (Adyen, PayPal, etc.) and the associated Cash to Order reconciliations.

• Management of Cash financial reporting and the related reconciliations by working closely with the Treasury team.

• Knowledge of FX and how it impacts the financial statements

• Familiarity with Lease Accounting, specifically ASC842.

• Previously working with Workday Financials is a plus.

• Ability to work independently and lead a team.
