Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering, construction management, architecture, business/Project management or related field.
  • Five years progressively responsible experience in project management, construction management or facilities management, with projects of comparable type, size and complexity.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Strong communication skills, leadership abilities,
  • Demonstrate proficiency in project planning, execution, and risk management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and skills in methods and techniques used in general mechanical, structural and maintenance trades.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work on blueprints, drawings, specifications.
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
  • Proven success working with all levels of management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Desired Qualifications

  • Be able to independently perform inspections and surveys to evaluate existing conditions, define project priorities and determine corrective strategies.

  • The ability to: Work effectively and communicate with a wide range of customers including students, building/program staff and division officials; Review and evaluate drawings, specifications (Mech, Elec, Arch, etc.) and other contract documents; Plan and coordinate multiple and various projects/tasks involving multiple customers and tight deadlines; Analyze and interpret engineering reports and complex technical problems.
  • Proficiency in computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with management of building restoration, building systems, retrofit and maintenance projects desirable.
  • Experience with Integrated Workplace Management Software Asset Works preferred.
