Teach undergraduate courses, specifically in Critical Media Practice, Introduction to Script Writing, Global Media Cultures, Media and Society, Radio Production, and Podcast Production and other related courses such as audio and video production.
Prepare course materials.
Plan and revise curricula, course content and course materials; develop own course on podcasts.
Monitor students’ progress, assigning tasks, and grading assignments.
Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students.
Participate in scholarly activities leading to presentations and publications.
Take part in department, university, and community service activities.
Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
Advise students on academic and vocational curricula.
Select materials used for the course such as textbooks.
Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues.
Keep abreast of developments and technological advances in the communication field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
Participate in campus and community events.
Supervise undergraduate or graduate teaching and research work.
U.S. Ph.D. Communication and Media Studies or a closely related subject matter.
6 months of experience as a Graduate Assistant or closely related job title. Experience to include 6 months of college level teaching experience in audio and video production.
Number of hours per week: 40 hours per week
Daily Work Schedule: Mon to Fri 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
