Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong enthusiasm for working within a manufacturing environment and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Basic understanding of packaging materials.
  • Ability to observe, analyze, and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse teams on the plant floor.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Indefinite U.S. work authorization is required; future sponsorship for work authorization is not available.
Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in troubleshooting packaging-related issues during production.
  • Support packaging line trials for new materials, designs, or equipment by collecting data and providing feedback.
  • Assist in evaluating new packaging materials and components for suitability and performance on existing manufacturing equipment.
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to assess material specifications against production requirements and operational capabilities.
  • Contribute to selecting packaging materials that balance performance, cost, and environmental impact within a high-volume manufacturing setting.
  • Identify and propose practical solutions to reduce packaging material waste, scrap, and rework on the production floor.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives focused on improving packaging processes.
  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating packaging specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of packaging tests, line trials, and material performance data.
  • Collaborate with production operators, maintenance technicians, quality control, supply chain, and research and development teams to implement packaging solutions.
  • Participate in daily production meetings, sharing observations and contributing to problem-solving discussions.

  • Familiarity with computer-aided design software.
