Requirements
  • At least one year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Basic personal computer knowledge for data entry.
  • Familiarity with a manufacturing environment, industrial equipment and mechanics, heavy structural assembly, hand and power tools, and measuring devices.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to walk, bend, crouch, kneel, squat, reach overhead, climb ladders, and work at varied heights and on varied surfaces.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and hear audible alarms.
  • Comfort working alone in a noisy, dusty, non-temperature-controlled environment and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to comply with safety protocols, health and medical screenings, and required personal protective equipment.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States, verified through the E-Verify program.
Responsibilities
  • Install large components and subassemblies into electrical compartments.
  • Route loose wires and cables to the appropriate components within electrical compartments.
  • Route and terminate cables throughout electrical compartments.
  • Assist in correcting nonconforming issues identified by Quality.
  • Follow process and quality gate sheets.
  • Verify gauge calibration.
  • Apply torque values according to engineering standards.
  • Maintain area cleanliness and organization.
  • Install wire harnesses and loose wires on panel assemblies and terminate them at the appropriate electrical components.
  • Construct plug assemblies and terminate wires according to plug charts.
  • Apply wires and cables to process drawings to create wire harnesses.
  • Train other employees.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with blueprints and wiring or wire schematics.
  • Experience operating a forklift and/or crane.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, wire running lists, and other visual aids.
