Requirements
  • No prior experience is required.
  • BLS/Healthcare Provider certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
Responsibilities
  • Transport bed, stretcher, and wheelchair patients safely and professionally while following HIPAA and handoff compliance.
  • Use two patient identifiers for every patient in accordance with The Joint Commission patient-safety regulations.
  • Order and receive weekly radiology supplies.
  • Pick up and deliver requisitions, specimens, and other materials within the facility.
  • Assist with stocking and cleaning rooms and correctly put away supplies.
  • Report faulty equipment, hazardous conditions, and incidents to a supervisor for follow-up.
  • Return equipment to designated storage areas and maintain transport equipment, including cleaning, deodorizing, and disinfecting it as needed.
  • Maintain oxygen and suction supplies as required by the facility.
  • Use corporate radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
  • Deliver mail between departments as needed.
  • Maintain attendance and comply with Baptist Health policies and applicable standards.
  • Maintain compliance with Baptist Health policies, procedures, department guidelines, and education requirements.
  • Attend required meetings and in-service sessions.
  • Maintain the knowledge and skills needed to provide care appropriate to patients' ages and conditions.
  • Pursue professional growth.
Desired Qualifications
  • Radiology technician student status with some educational or clinical experience is highly preferred.
