Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 3-4 years of experience preferably with a public accounting/private accounting mix
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience with one or more complex areas of accounting including but not limited to revenue recognition, inventory, stock-based compensation, debt/equity financing, business combinations or investments
  • Ability to read and analyze financial statements/reports
  • Comfort with ambiguity and lack of formally defined processes
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
Responsibilities
  • Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations
  • Help maintain and improve month-end close processes, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Respond to information requests and assist with the annual financial statement audit - including project management related aspects of the audit
  • Analyze financial statements and GL accounts to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual fluctuations are in line with expectations and documented
  • Prepare operational and ad hoc reporting for additional analysis associated with financial statement areas assigned
  • Assist the accounting manager, director of accounting, and controller as needed
