  • The successful candidate will possess a doctoral degree in epidemiology or a related discipline.
  • The candidate should have training and experience in cancer epidemiology.
  • The candidate should have an established record of extramural funding and have a track record of scholarly activity in cancer epidemiology that includes leading NIH-funded studies.
  • The appointment is at the Associate or Full Professor level and tenure or tenure-line.
  • The role expects the candidate to expend approximately 80% of effort on research, 15% on teaching and mentoring students, and 5% on service.
Responsibilities
  • Lead cancer epidemiology research and contribute to the design, conduct, and analysis of population-based studies.
  • Obtain extramural funding to support cancer epidemiology research.
  • Teach and mentor students and junior faculty as part of a balanced workload.
  • Engage in service activities within the Department of Public Health Sciences and the broader Penn State College of Medicine.
  • Collaborate with biostatistics and bioinformatics, epidemiology, and health services and behavioral research divisions as part of a multidisciplinary team.
