Requirements
  • A minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required.
  • At least 5 years of electronics hardware development experience is required.
  • Experience with analog and digital circuit design is required.
  • Experience with software tools such as Python, LabVIEW, C, C++, or MATLAB is required.
  • Understanding of analog controls and signal-conditioning amplifier design is required.
  • Understanding of circuit noise analysis and noise-mitigation techniques is required.
  • Experience simulating amplifier circuits using SPICE or similar tools is required.
  • Experience with schematic capture and printed circuit board layout is required, including Altium or Cadence.
  • Knowledge of hardware-development, layout, and circuit-design best practices is required.
  • Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, time-domain reflectometers, digital voltmeters, and function generators is required.
  • The candidate must be a United States citizen and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national-security background investigation.
Responsibilities
  • Work as an electronics engineer as part of a design, test, and evaluation team.
  • Work on data acquisition, software development, computer networks, and underwater electronic system designs.
  • Develop project plans and test plans.
  • Conduct land- and ocean-based field tests and demonstrations of advanced sensor systems.
  • Write test reports.
  • Brief designs, test plans, and test reports to upper management and sponsors.
Desired Qualifications
  • Job experience with the Navy or other Department of Defense laboratories is desirable.
  • Completion of a background investigation is desirable.
