Product & Platforms Internship Program - Retirement Plan Services

The T. Rowe Price 10-week Summer Internship Program offers an opportunity to gain valuable work experience while building skills and long-term career potential. Through teamwork, innovative thinking, and application of your skills, you can add value and leave a lasting impact in a number of ways to our firm and the clients we support. You will have the opportunity to work with practitioners in the field who are experienced, forward-thinking, passionate people that will help you integrate what you learn in school with “real world” business initiatives.
The program includes formal orientation, peer and senior mentor assignments, and formal learning opportunities. In addition to the work assignments within the assigned department, interns also gain exposure to Associates and senior leaders across the firm through an executive speaker series, networking activities, and engagement with our Business Resource Groups.
Retirement Plan Services (RPS):
Since 1937, our focus has been helping clients plan and save for retirement. Today, we help millions around the world through our results-driven approach. T. Rowe Price Retirement Plan Services is an experienced, full service recordkeeper for defined contribution, 403(b), 457, defined benefit, and nonqualified plans. The Product and Platforms department within Retirement Plans Services is responsible for setting the strategic product vision and delivering world-class participant, sponsor and advisor experiences.
Workplace Investors Experience (WIX)
The Workplace Investors Experience (WIX) team owns the experience for retirement plan participants. WIX is responsible for having a deep understanding of the participant base, general consumer experiences and be advocates for participants in all that we do.
As an intern in this space, you will assist the team in the development and launch of new experiences, enhancements to existing participant experiences, and the marketing needs for each. This also includes enhancing results reporting and prospect/client marketing through the development of case studies, digital research, competitor analysis, and documentation.
Responsibilities may include:
- Retire with Confidence (RWC) program – creation and delivery of new digital communications for participants, results reporting, enhancements to existing participant digital communications
- Confidence Builder (CB) program – assist the CB team with data analysis, user testing, and experience design as needed.
- New experience launch & marketing support – assist the WIX project leads with roadmap deliverables, including experience design, marketing support, the setup of analytics tracking, and internal communication and business readiness.
Go-to-Market & Offer Management
The Go-to-Market (GTM) team brings marketing & sales together to sell retirement products, technology and product roadmaps. The internship program is designed to provide a preview of the project work in Product & Platforms Go-to-Market and Offer Management. The goal of the internship is to develop operational and retirement plan knowledge with a focus on building relationships.
The purpose of the internship is to help support the Product Consultants as it relates to staying apprised of our competitor’s offerings. You will also add value for the Product Offer team by providing data and adoption numbers around our marque product offerings as well as keep them apprised of anything we are hearing in the sales arena around product and technology offerings.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assist the Go-to-Market team with valuable competitor insights, a repository to store and sort so the information is easily accessible.
- Gather data around product adoption
- Consolidate and make available feedback from Advisor roadshows
- Help create consistent product adoption documentation
Qualifications
- Full time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date of December 2023 – May/June 2025.
- Open to all Majors but ideally Marketing, Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Political Science
- Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Research and problem-solving skills
- Project Management knowledge a plus
- Interest in financial wellness, retirement planning, or investing is a plus
