Job Details:
Purpose
Provide Linux systems administration support for the Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL).
Responsibilities
Under general direction, perform Linux computer systems installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and end-user support for softwares, servers, workstations, laptops, and virtual machines.
Management of all backup services and storage solutions (SAN/NAS) installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and escalation.
Perform and maintain Linux, backup and storage systems audits for compliance with established information assurance policies and configuration guidelines.
Document and maintain processes, procedures and configurations for Linux, storage and backup solution configuration and change management.
Maintain computer hardware/software inventories and documentation.
Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
HS/GED
At least four years of experience in Linux system administration.
Minimum of four years of experience with managing enterprise storage and backup solutions
Experience with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures used in maintaining backup and storage infrastructure
Experience with FC, iSCSI or other network storage protocols
Experience with commonly used concepts, practices, procedures and tools used in maintaining a Linux enterprise
Infrastructure: RedHat or Ubuntu Linux.
Experience with shell scripting: Perl, Python, Bash or similar.
Experience with networking and host-based computer security monitoring.
Candidate will need to obtain a DoD 8570.1/8140 IAT Level II Certification, such as CompTIA CySA+ or Security+, within 6 months of hire date.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, written and oral communication skills.
Must have a professional demeanor, be punctual and have the ability to work with little or no supervision.
Able to work under pressure and accept supervision.
Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
At least seven (7) years’ experience in Linux system administration.
Current DoD 8570.1/8140 IAT II or greater certification for CySA+, Security+, GICSP, GSEC, or similar approved IA certifications.
Experience with system configuration management tools such as Salt, Kickstart, Cobbler, RHN Satellite, Ansible or Puppet.
Experience with Ubuntu Linux.
Experience with orchestration software such as Kubernetes, Docker or Podman.
Experience with source code management tools such as Subversion or GIT.
Experience web and database hosting environments such as Apache, nginx, MySQL/MariaDB, or Postgres.

Salary Range
$85,000-$100,000+/negotiable depending on qualifications.
