Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in consulting, internal audit, risk advisory, or public accounting.
  • Significant experience serving state and local government or public sector clients.
  • Expertise in internal audit, enterprise risk management, governance, compliance, and internal controls.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead complex engagements.
  • Demonstrated success developing business, growing client relationships, and generating revenue.
  • A Certified Public Accountant credential is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead internal audit, risk assessment, compliance, governance, and operational improvement engagements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, governing boards, and audit committees.
  • Oversee engagement strategy, staffing, budgets, quality control, and client satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, accountability, and performance.
  • Mentor and develop consulting teams.
  • Drive business development efforts, including client relationship management, proposals, presentations, and strategic pursuits.
  • Expand the firm's presence within the public sector through industry involvement, networking, and thought leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience serving transportation, transit, rail, airport, or port authorities.
  • Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Government Financial Manager, or other relevant certifications.
