Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED, or 10 years of work experience.
  • Two years of experience.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing 0–25 pounds.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot, leg, hand, and arm movements.
  • Frequent visual and depth-perception abilities for near and far distances and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information orally and to hear alarms and malfunctioning machinery.
  • Frequent keyboard use and data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing 25–50 pounds.
  • Rare climbing.
Responsibilities
  • Review breast imaging dictated reports for compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act and American College of Radiology guidelines.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, breast health nurse navigators, mammographers, and sonographers to implement appropriate patient-care follow-up from imaging results.
  • Enter breast imaging examination results and addended results into the Mammography Reporting System.
  • Create combined mammography and breast ultrasound result letters with breast-density notifications and send them to patients according to mandated regulations.
  • Check letter-verification reports in the Mammography Reporting System to confirm documentation of result letters sent to each patient.
  • Verify the accuracy of and mail recall letters to patients who need short-term follow-up.
  • Monitor overdue patient reports in the Mammography Reporting System and resolve exams that were not properly linked, or edit notes and close exams when the reason for noncompletion is known.
  • Coordinate patient-care imaging reports through the breast health services continuum.
  • Assist imaging leadership in ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Mammography Quality Standards Act and American College of Radiology guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
