About this role:

As a Physician at our La Canada/Maryland Parkway location, you’ll serve a geriatric population with opportunities to make a meaningful impact on their health every day. We are seeking an approachable, genuine, and collaborative health advocate who provides personalized experiences for people who need it the most. Because healthy is having all your needs met, not just medical treatment, we provide a supportive team and plenty of resources to help you help our patients stay healthy.

We are seeking a dedicated physician with at least two years of experience serving medically underserved or high-need communities. This role offers the opportunity to positively shape healthcare for a vulnerable population, making a lasting difference in the lives of patients who need compassionate, expert care. • You will practice at La Canada/Maryland Parkway Senior Primary Care Clinic
• Your hours will be 4 10-hour shifts or 5 8-hour shifts during clinic hours of Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm
• You will see approximately 16 patients per day
• No call required
• This position includes a $25,000 Hero stipend for serving the community at this location

What you’ll bring:

• Active, unobstructed Nevada medical license or the ability to obtain one
• Nevada Pharmacy Board license or the ability to obtain one
• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
• ACGME accredited residency training in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics
• ABMS board certification or eligibility in the designated discipline
• BLS certification and DEA
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process

Preferences

• Fluency in medical Spanish strongly preferred
• Experience in managed care and/or geriatric care
• Minimum of two years of post-residency experience with the ability to provide compassionate, high-quality care in a complex clinical setting.

From this location, you’ll be near world-class entertainment, dining, and shopping on the Las Vegas Strip, as well as a vibrant community full of schools, parks, community recreation centers, movie theaters, local shops, and robust cultural experiences.
