Requirements
  • Maintain DoD 8570 IAT II certification, holding one of the specified certifications at hire or obtaining one within six months of the start date.
  • Have Appian software development experience.
  • Have current Appian credentials as a Designer or Developer.
  • Have experience with business process management software such as Appian, JBoss BPMS, Activiti, Oracle or IBM BPM, or Pega.
  • Have experience with Splunk.
  • Understand Appian software design, web development, and design languages.
  • Have hands-on experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Have experience providing production support.
  • Be proficient with Git source control and aware of Git branching strategies.
  • Be familiar with Oracle.
  • Have or be able to obtain a CSSLP or equivalent certification after hire.
  • Be able to attain a Federal Government Position of Trust.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Understand Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or other containerization platforms.
  • Use one or more Appian add-on tools, such as Expression Unit Tests, Deployment Automation Manager, FitNesse test creation, SAIL UI, and Smart Services.
  • Have Appian 7.x/20.x version design and implementation experience and the ability to translate software requirements specifications into Appian applications and prototypes.
Responsibilities
  • Collect tactical knowledge about bottlenecks or critical needs and implement rapid solutions to address them.
  • Design and develop business logic, process models and flows, and user interface screens for a business process management system.
  • Work with Business Analysts to investigate customer requirements, prototype business solutions, and validate user story acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate with team members on fixes, unit testing, and configuration management.
  • Support operational patch build processes.
  • Develop Structured Query Language, update data models, and implement database best practices including indexes, triggers, and data structures.
  • Manage daily work in Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
  • Coordinate with DevOps team members to deliver timely and reliable customer releases.
  • Maintain data integrity, security, and best-practice standards in the software.
  • Prepare and maintain software development lifecycle application documentation.
